Our second Winemaker’s dinner will be August 15th at the winery. An upgraded BBQ, we'll
start at 5:30 with appetizers in the vineyards, and finish dining under the stars in the beautiful
Alexander Valley. The menu features whole roasted Gleason Ranch pig, cooked in a la caja china
box.

Winemaker Scot Covington, Ranch Manager John Tankersley, and Viticulturist Ben Byczynski,
will be on hand as we celebrate our first two verticals: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from 2005,
2006, and yet-to-be-released 2007! Tickets are $85 per person and seating is limited. To reserve your spot or for more information, please contact our tasting room manager,
jessie@trionewinery.com or call 707-814-8103. We hope you can join us for a wonderful Sonoma County evening!

Also new for our Founder's Club and Estate Guild: A six person tour and tasting. Each member
is invited to bring five, guests twice per year, for a private tour of our grounds with one of our

Check out the progress in the vineyards and finish in our upper level members area. Enjoy a guided tasting through our wines, accompanied with a light array of local cheeses. Exclusive to club member's and complimentary, let us give you, your friends, family, coworkers and visitors the inside scoop on Trione Vineyards and Winery. The tour lasts
approximately 1 and 1/2 hours and reservations are available Saturday and Sunday at 11 am and 2pm. Please call the tasting room to set up an appointment.

Founder's Club and Estate Guild members are invited to collect your wine while sampling new
releases and charcuterie.

From the Vineyard......
As harvest rushes towards us, it is all hands on deck in the vineyard. Our Viticulturist, Ben
Byczynski send this reports from the vines. “We have been experiencing very warm temperatures. Our Alexander Valley Ranches are reaching over 100 degree temperatures daily. The River Road Ranch, in Russian River Valley, has been in the high 90’s so we are irrigating to maintain the vines during the heat. The big news of the week is that “Veraison” is beginning. For those not familiar with this term it is when the berries start to soften and change color. The whites in Alexander Valley have started this process, turning from green to a golden yellow color. The Pinot Noir in Russian River is showing signs with red berries.

The other varietals will shortly follow suit. This is very exciting because it means harvest in
around the corner and it’s time to gear up. The vineyard workers are focusing on canopy
management and crop adjustments so that we ensure the highest quality fruit will be harvested.”
We are all looking forward to Harvest #2 at our beautiful facility and some great fruit from our
vineyards!

It has been awhile...

Ok, so it has been awhile since we last updated our blog with all the going ons at the winery. But, that is only because we have been busy with our June events. So here's the June updates and more...

The first weekend in June we participated in the Taste of Alexander Valley and we had a ball! We had some “classic” Model-T's and tractors, two fantastic Barbershop Quartets entertaining the crowds, plenty of good Cabernet Sauvignon and treats from Pacific Connections catering. Thanks to everyone who made it out!

For our Estate Guild members, the June pick ups and shipments started June 15th. We had great fun seeing all of our members coming in to pick up their wines and we are sure they enjoyed their free tasting while they were here.

The June wine selection included our 2006 Chardonnay and 2006 Pinot Noir , or the 2005 Block 21 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2006 Syrah for our Red Only members. Remember members, if you like what you're drinking, the wines in your shipment are available for 30% off through July 16th, so stock up and save!

….please raise a glass of Trione and toast the love! Denise Trione and Kris Hicks were married Saturday, June 13th. The Reception was held in the Old Stone Building, and the evening was beautiful. Congratulations!

Aaaaahhhhh summer!

OK, so it HAS been pretty hot lately, but we think it is officially summer in Sonoma County. It's light until almost 9:00 pm, driving through the back roads, you can smell grills cooking yummy meats, cars are lining up by the river revealing their "secret spots" and our grape vines are looking good. The vineyard crew is hard at work replanting some Cabernet Sauvignon at our home ranch, and we are LOVING the 2006 Pinot Noir right now. Thanks to all our great friends for spreading the word about Team Trione, we couldn't do it without you!
